Our Story
Behind Bumble & Brae is the Meredith family.
Life for us changed when we made the move to Aberdeenshire to build our smallholding – a place where we now care for a mix of animals, including rescued sheep, goats, chickens and more. It’s a busy, sometimes muddy, always rewarding way of life… and it’s taught us a lot about slowing down, appreciating the simple things, and creating a space that feels safe and welcoming.
That feeling is exactly what we wanted to bring into the café.
Bumble & Brae has been built from the ground up with love and a real desire to create something meaningful – not just for us, but for the people around us too.

We stayed in our motorhome and went in for breakfast, a lovely friendly place, food is amazing and their homemade scones are outstanding, the staff make you feel welcome from the second you walk through the door.

Went with our border collie dog and sat outside round the back.The staff are really good and cannot do enough for you,we had the afternoon tea and it was amazing. There was so much on the plates which included a drink and everything home made.I would highly recommend a visit as this place is a little gem.

Wondering little place. We had a bowl of soup (delicious) and I couldn’t but help have a slice of their brumble cake with a coffee afterwards. Lovely atmosphere with Fiona and Laura. Well worth going to if you’re up that way.
